The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) has ordered the New York Independent System Operator, a not-for-profit corporation regulated by FERC, to create a new capacity zone that will effect electric rates in the Hudson Valley. This capacity zone is referred to as Zone NCZ = New Capacity Zone. Implementation is scheduled for May 2014. The Times Herald Record published an article on this topic on October 23, 2013. http://shar.es/8uPi1 For additional information please refer to our Electric Procurement Page on www.mandrenergy.com.
